The Cari or Pelaverga, an alternate name for the Cari vine, it is an historic wine of the city of Turin.
It has been cultivated by the aristocratic families since the early 1600, they would cultivate it from the surrounding Torinese hills east of the river Po to the Chierese area.

Vine: Cari o Pelaverga.
Zone of production: Villages of lower Chierese in the Province of Turin.
Refinement: Not applicable.
Color: Cherry-like red.
Bouquet: To the nose the wine strikes of elegance; it’s intense, fragrant, fruity of predominantly prune and cherry.
Flavour/Aroma: To the mouth the Cari wine is lightly lively, sweet, very elegant and reintroduces to the palate the fruity qualities of its bouquet.
Perlage: Subtle and persistent.
Best when used: 1 year.
Suitability: Perfect with sweets and desserts, with pastries or even in between meals.
How to serve: Immediately after opening in goblets at a temperature of 6-8°C.
